Draganfly Innovations has created an alternative for model and full size aircrafts that inspect certain areas. The Draganflyer X6 is a mini remotely operated, multiple rotor helicopter that is designed for commercial/industrial aerial video and photography.

The unique design of the Draganflyer X6 UAV enables the helicopter to hover efficiently and maneuver rapidly. According to the company president of Draganfly Innovations the most revolutionary feature of the X6 is with which it can be piloted. With six horizontal rotor blades the X6 helicopter is able to keep flying even if one motor or rotor falls out. If the Draganflyer X6 loses contact with the remote controller it makes use of the automatic self-landing system.

The Draganflyer X6 helicopter can be flown with a handheld controller.The telemetry and flight data of the X6 helicopter can be monitored via the 2.8″ color OLED touchscreen on the controller. You can also lay down the controller because thanks to eleven on-board sensors the X6 helicopter is also able to fly autonomously.

When using any of the camera modules you can even view what the helicopter is seeing. Put on the video goggles and view the real-time streaming video that is send to the handheld controller. If you mist something you can use the Draganflyer X6 black box to make a post flight analysis.
