Volvo S60 at the Detroit Auto Show
Volvo announced a new version of the Volvo S60. The world already got a glimpse of the Volvo S60 Concept at the Detroit Auto Show. The 2009 Volvo S60 will compete with models like BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and the Mercedes C-Class. Those who want to trade in their car for the new Volvo S60 have to wait a little bit longer because it will arrive in 2010.

Volvo S60: safety first
The all-new Volvo S60 will ride on the P-24 platform and have a four-cylinder 1.6L petrol engine. It will also be one of the first using high-efficiency GTDi technology. And as we can expect from Volvo it also has a ground-breaking safety innovation. The Volvo S60 will get Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and pedestrian detection. This means that it can detect a pedestrian who steps out into the path of the car and the automatically brake if you don’t respond to the danger.
